Pontos Group has made a donation to Aalto University’s new professorship in ownership. The professorship established with donated funds advances high-quality academic research and teaching, along with Finnish knowledge and culture of ownership.
“Stable and skilled ownership is a central requirement for businesses to operate successfully. It is an important theme for us as an active and long-term owner. We are proud to support a professorship that incorporates ownership as a solid part of academic research and teaching while producing high-quality research data to support public discussions and decision making,” said Timo Kokkila, CEO of Pontos.
Owning and developing companies requires in-depth and extensive expertise as a whole. The new professorship strengthens the research and teaching of ownership in a significant way. “Ownership affects companies’ operations on a wide scale, and as such, has wide-reaching social impacts. The new professorship ties research data and best international practices as part of this ownership expertise, which is extremely valuable for responsible and sustainable business. Collaboration and interaction are ways for us to secure the continuing success of Finnish businesses in a global business environment,” Kokkila stated.
