Pontos’ portfolio company Hintsa Performance has acquired British digital mentoring platform Grasp, which offers every single employee of an organization, regardless of their position, an opportunity to communicate with other employees of the company, helping to create engaged communities and open culture. The collaboration aims to promote holistic, preventative and impactful services for corporate wellbeing.
Hintsa’s rapid growth in the corporate sector and increasing global demand has accelerated Hintsa’s transformation into a technology-powered coaching company. Using technology created by British serial entrepreneur Ed Beccle, Hintsa can now expand its methods and human-centric coaching from the C-suite to all employees. Hintsa is trusted by leadership teams in over 500 organizations globally, and its services cover over 40,000 employees among its largest client organizations.
“At Pontos, we believe firmly that looking after personnel wellbeing will also lead to the best financial results in the long run. We are very pleased with how wellbeing is increasingly promoted in work communities in different ways. Acquiring Grasp is one part of Hintsa’s stronger strategic investment in the digitalization of its services. Hintsa’s first-rate coaching will now be even more accessible to our clients’ personnel through their own smartphones,” says Tor-Oskar Karlberg, Investment Manager at Pontos and Member of Hintsa’s Board of Directors.
The collaboration is based on the evolution of wellbeing into a strategic asset from the company’s perspective. “Employee wellbeing is no longer a ‘nice-to-have’. It is a ‘must-have’. This shows in the depth of strategic discussions we’re now having with leaders globally. To truly impact millions of people, corporate wellbeing needs next-generation technology, and a user experience similar to leading consumer products. Acquiring Grasp means a significant step for us. Together, we can make Hintsa’s mission – ‘Better life. Better performance. For everyone.’ – a reality”, says Hintsa Performance’s CEO Annastiina Hintsa.
