Päivi Tomula, Pontos’ Investment Director of Real Estate, has been appointed as a member of the board of Green Building Council Finland network. The network seeks to incorporate the built environment as a central part of the solution to climate change.
”I greatly appreciate the opportunity to promote the real estate and construction industry’s journey towards a sustainably built environment and carbon neutrality. Many real estate and construction players have already taken steps towards environmental responsibility, laying the groundwork for success. Yet I believe that the largest and most difficult steps have yet to be taken. Success requires courage, preparedness, the utilization of new innovations and technology, changes to previous operating ways and collaboration between stakeholders in different stages of the value chain,” says Tomula.
Other board members are: Pasi Suutari (SOK, Miimu Airaksinen (SRV), Hannamari Koivula (Antilooppi), Mikko Marjalaakso (Betolar), Kaisa-Reeta Koskinen (the City of Helsinki), Anna Tiri (KONE), Petri Valkama (NREP), Jukka Viitanen (NRC Group ASA), Liisa Jäätvuori (A-Insinöörit), Ville Reinikainen (Granlund).
