Pontos sells shopping centers in Kajaani and Imatra, logistics center in Kouvola

Pontos Group has sold Kajaanin Kauppapaikka 18 shopping center in Kajaani, Mansikka shopping center in Imatra and a logistics center in Kouvola. The sites were included in the ReLog portfolio, consisting of ten sites, which Pontos acquired from NREP in spring 2019. Kauppapaikka 18 was acquired by local investor B&E Rakennuttajat, Mansikkapaikka by local investors Fineco Kiinteistöt and Wiraskorpi, and the Kouvola storage site by Indlog Properties.

The sold properties continue Pontos’ divestment strategy for the ReLog portfolio. “We are pleased that Kauppapaikka 18 and Mansikka are owned locally and can be developed to serve the local community in the future as well. We are also satisfied with the divestment of the fully leased Kouvola site to Indlog Properties,” states Pontos’ Investment Director, Real Estate, Päivi Tomula.

In 2019, the ReLog portfolio covered ten different logistics, storage and commercial center sites in different parts of Finland, with a gross leasable area of 95,500 square meters.

Pontos acquired NREP’s share of the NREP C1 real estate portfolio (ReLog portfolio) in March 2019, after which Pontos owned 100 percent of the portfolio. Pontos acquired 70 percent of holdings in the portfolio already back in 2014.
