Pontos’s Portfolio Company SRV Secures Major Tays Renovation Project

Pontos Oy is excited to announce the success of its portfolio company SRV Rakennus Oy: The Pirkanmaa Wellbeing Services County has selected SRV as the contractor for the development phase of the final stage o9f the Tays renovation program. This project significantly strengthens SRV’s position among Finland’s leading construction companies.

SRV and the Pirkanmaa wellbeing services county have signed a development phase agreement for the final stage of the construction project of the Tampere University Hospital renovation program. The project, to be implemented as a collaborative project management contract, is divided into a development phase and several implementation phases, with a total estimated value to SRV of approximately 600 million euros upon completion.

SRV achieved the highest score in a highly competitive tender process, which assessed factors such as the project plan, team, and references. This result highlights the company’s strong expertise and competitiveness in large and demanding projects.

The collaborative project management contract will begin with a development phase, with the implementation phase agreement scheduled for signing in summer 2026. The project will include the construction of a 130,000 square metre M-building, a parking and logistics facility, and an S-building. The final phase of the Tays renovation program is expected to generate significant employment in Pirkanmaa, estimated at 14,500–18,000 person-years. SRV’s role in this extensive project underscores the company’s responsibility and ability to advance initiatives of major social importance.
