Pontos and Urban Partners’ Nordic Strategies Fund 3 (NSF III) have sold a logistics center located at the Helsinki Airport, to German real estate investor SICORE Real Assets. The deal reinforces the attractiveness of the Finnish logistics market and the strong international demand for high-quality, sustainable properties.
The 15,000-square-meter new facility, completed in summer 2025, serves as a sorting center in Finland. Upon its completion, the project represented a significant milestone in the Finnish logistics sector. Strong emphasis was placed on sustainable construction principles during its development.
The project’s development was originally overseen by AVIA Real Estate Oy until January 2025, at which point Pontos and Urban Partners (former Nrep) acquired the project from the company and continued its development.
“We are extremely pleased with the outcome of this successful project. Our collaboration with Urban Partners has been excellent, and this sale demonstrates that a shared vision and professional expertise yield results. We thank Urban Partners for their seamless cooperation, which led to this outstanding outcome,” commented Päivi Tomula, Pontos’s Investment Director, Real Estate.
Strong emphasis was placed on sustainable construction principles during its development. The property features a geothermal heating system and solar panels, which improve energy efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint. The facility is expected to receive the highest-level Platinum rating under the international LEED environmental certification and an A-class energy efficiency rating.
“The transaction with German SICORE Real Assets is a clear indication of how the Finnish market, and particularly sustainable, modern logistics properties, attracts significant interest from international investors. This confirms that with the right partners and innovative solutions emphasizing responsible construction, we can create value and meet market demands,” Tomula continued.
“This prime asset represents a strategic addition to our growing logistics portfolio. Its proximity to the airport modern operational solutions enabling third-party adaptability and top ESG credentials align strongly with our long-term acquisition profile. We will continue to source attractive logistics assets that support the development of local, regional and international logistics networks across core European markets”, adds Martina Averbeck, speaker of the management board of SICORE Real Assets.
