AVIA Real Estate is a real estate and real estate development company which owns, manages and leases offices, hotel and logistics premises at a unique location in the Helsinki-Vantaa airport area. The company’s portfolio includes Finland’s largest hotel complex comprising Clarion Hotel Helsinki and Comfort Hotel Helsinki Airport, along with Hilton and Scandic hotels, the Avia Pilot, Avia Wing and Avia Fleet office buildings, as well as the logistics terminal Avia Cargo, among others.

The company aims to build the urban city center Avia City into the heart of the airport. The center will cover 40,000 jobs and 20,000 residents, be filled with opportunities, high-quality services and an international atmosphere that will blend together seamlessly with reinvigorating green spaces. Already in 2024, Aviapolis was Finland’s second largest cluster for jobs, and the City of Vantaa is planning a railway connection, new apartments, tens of thousands of new jobs as well as different private and public services in the area.
Why did we invest?
In 2018, the airport environment was a growing center for mobility and work, with a central location that had turned it into one of the fastest growing company areas in the metropolitan area. The City of Vantaa was also committed to developing Aviapolis with a vision of creating an attractive and sustainable airport city of opportunities where working, living, services and recreation would together in an urban way. The investment in AVIA Real Estate (prev. LAK Real Estate) was, for Pontos and co-investor NREP, an opportunity to be involved in developing the dynamic airport area.
The company also manages Avia Club, a flexible premise solution that enables responding to hybrid work needs quickly and easily.
The company’s real estate portfolio totals approximately 200,000 square meters in size. AVIA Real Estate also has about 400,000 square kilometers of permitted building volume in the Aviapolis area, which is Finland’s fastest growing center for jobs and entrepreneurs.
